The return of le Mooc Mécanique
Before I came over to OPENPediatrics, I was involved in a project with good friends in the open education space called The Mechanical MOOC. It was an approach to offering an online course that had no central platform, no instructor and no fees. Read more about it here. My current job has taken up all of my time and then some, and so—for a time—the Mechanical MOOC has lain dormant.
I was gratified to learn from my friends at Peer2Peer University that a new team has recently taken up the mantle, rethought the approach, and created what looks to be a really promising new iteration on what I thought was a pretty good idea to begin with.
