Fundraising
- developed OCW fundraising brochure to support revenue generation activities
- supervised initial fundraising for OCW Consortium
- secured, and served as PI for, three-year $1.5 M grant from William and Flora Hewlett Foundation to support Consortium activities
- generated $350K in support commitments from Consortium members
Communications
- present MIT OCW experiences at conferences to encourage wide adoption of opencouseware sharing practices
- coordinate MIT OpenCourseWare special events

Evaluation
- responsible for data integration and reporting from the full portfolio of OCW assessment sources, including web analytics, intercept and supplemental surveys, e-mail feedback, interviews, and internal systems reports
- supervise regular management reporting (PDF) for senior management team, publication team, and intellectual property rights team decision-making
- produce annual Evaluation Strategy and Plan, and Annual Report (PDF – 9.2 MB) documenting the progress and impact of OpenCourseWare
- produce interim evaluation reports addressing topics of special interest to the OCW team
Strategic Partnership Development
- oversee MIT OpenCourseWare strategic partnerships, including relationships with 7 translation partners and more than 330 mirror site recipients
- organized OpenCourseWare Consortium as a forum for sharing best practices in OCW publicaton and increasing use an awareness of member sites
- oversaw incorporation of OCW Consortium as independent non-profit organization; served as founding president
- led initial staff hiring, fundraising and strategic plan development
- grew OpenCourseWare Consortium membership to 280+ domestic and international universities and organizations during tenure as president
Intellectual Property Management
- as a member of senior management team, address all high level intellectual property policy issues for the OCW project
- provide tier two response to all MIT OpenCourseWare intellectual property inquiries
Technology Implementation
- maintain mission-critical database supporting workflow for publication and intellectual property rights teams (designed and built system as as Senior Faculty Liaison)
- completed major migration of database system from FileMaker 5.5 to FileMaker 7.0
- supervise one consultant responsible for maintenance and enhancement implementation tasks
